The Bachelor Episode 6 Recap: Camping Chaos

WELL, how convenient.
The same week Warner Bros began making casting calls for the second season of Bachelor In Paradise, three reality TV couples abruptly called it quits.

Courtney Dober and Lily McManus, Keira Maguire and Jarrod Woodgate and Jake Ellis and Megan Marx all announced they had split this week.

Whether it’s coincidence or calculated remains to be seen.

Ellis and Marx announced on Tuesday they had split after eight months of dating, with Marx taking to Instagram to write that her breakup with “biggest hearted” Ellis was “destroying”.

“Our first kiss and first date was on a reality TV show — something I’ll always treasure as a beautiful experience and as beautiful memories. We’ll be keeping everything else to ourselves — sending love to everyone who has supported us.”

Just what they are keeping to themselves is yet to be revealed.

Ellis also confirmed the breakup on Instagram, writing it that was “the post that I thought and hoped I would never ever have to write”.

He added that the pair would “take a break from our relationship,” fuelling speculation they are going to attempt to create a reunion storyline for the next season of the reality dating show.

Two days prior, stage-five-clinger Woodgate and villain Maguire also announced they had broken up, ironically asking followers for “privacy”, despite having broadcast their entire relationship

“It is with a very sad heart but I have to let you all know that Jarrod & I have split up … Please respect our privacy as this is a very hard time for me,” Maguire posted.

Dober and McManus announced their breakup on Wednesday after eight months, but were spotted having dinner together just two days later.

Their fans and followers were just as sceptical, with Biggerz writing: “It’s funny how these guys, plus Jarrod and Keira all split this week, yet they’re all said to be going on Bachelor In Paradise where
you have to be single to go on the show. Give it up guys.”
