Thomas Markle Jr slams ‘shallow’ Meghan on Big Brother VIP

Thomas Markle Jr has rehashed his feud with Prince Harry and his estranged sister Meghan Markle on Channel 7’s Big Brother VIP.

Three years after writing an open letter to Prince Harry urging him to cancel his wedding to Meghan Markle, Thomas Markle Jr has rehashed his feud with the former royals.

Markle Jr is one of 12 contestants on Channel 7’s Big Brother VIP and in a preview clip of the show, he described the Duchess of Sussex, who is his estranged half-sister, as “shallow”.

“I’m Meghan Markle’s brother,” he said in a clip which aired on Sunday night.

“I’m the biggest brother of them all. I told Prince Harry, ‘I think she’s going to ruin your life. She’s very shallow’.”

The 54-year-old window fitter from Oregon, who has had multiple brushes with the law, was flown to Australia by the Seven Network for a rumoured six-figure pay packet to take part in the reality show.

He has not seen the former Suits star since attending their grandmother’s funeral more than a decade ago.

Filming is already underway at Sydney’s Olympic Park, where Big Brother’s “first-ever luxury hotel” has been built for contestants, who are competing for a $100,000 prize for their nominated charity.

Markle Jr is joined by former Trump advisor Omarosa Manigault Newman and former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Caitlyn Jenner.

Survivor’s Luke Toki and model Imogen Anthony are among local contestants on the show.

In a preview clip, Markle Jr described his estranged half-sister as “shallow”

Kyle Sandilands’ ex-girlfriend Imogen Anthony will also appear on Big Brother VIP.

Anthony, who is best known for being the ex-girlfriend of KIIS radio host Kyle Sandilands, has repeatedly slammed him on social media, however, a friend tells Confidential that they are now on better terms.

“There’s no animosity between them so she won’t be trashing him on the show,” the source said.

“She watched Kyle on Celebrity Big Brother nearly 20 years ago and was a fan of the show, which is why she agreed to do it.

“Fans will get to know who she really is. She may not be getting paid quite as much as Caitlin but she’s worth twice as much as she’ll be great to watch.”
