Following their runaway success of award-wins in 2022, including the Best Live Act ARIA, Confidential can reveal The Wiggles will soon be coming to an RSL or theatre near you.
All eight Wiggles are about to hit the road for 14 live shows across New South Wales in March.
“We had a massive year last year. We’re continuing on that trajectory,” Simon Pryce, better known as the second Red Wiggle, said.
“I always said as long as my knees hold out I’ll keep on going. I feel so fortunate to have joined 10 years ago and still be here today,” Pryce told Confidential.
The Big Red Car doubled its capacity in 2021, when the beloved children’s band expanded its line-up from four to eight Wiggles as part of the YouTube series Fruit Salad TV.
“It’s brought a lot of new fresh energy to the Wiggles. I do feel like the old guy,” Pryce said. “We’ve got a diverse cast of cultural backgrounds, gender and ages, which keeps it captivating for old and new audiences.”
The group will take their tour around NSW first, before wiggling around the rest of Australia, North America, and New Zealand. They’re also recording a new TV series, and two new albums in 2023.
“Now that I’m thinking about it I’m starting to feel tired,” Pryce joked, “but we love what we do.”
