Russell Crowe has hit back at gossip magazines after claims he’s involved in a romantic relationship with Terri Irwin.

Initially New Idea reported that the 52-year-old actor was getting married to Terri, the former wife of Aussie wildlife icon Steve Irwin, which was followed by reports in Woman’s Day this week that the wedding had been called off.

The Aussie-turned-Hollywood star has now set the record straight on Twitter, telling fans that his life is not as dramatic as the magazines make out.

“Last week @NewIdeamagazine said I was getting married, now @WomansDay saying the weddings off. I have such a dramatic life in bs magazines.”

The star’s 2.2 million followers joined in on the rant, with comments including, “Just be thankful you’re not pregnant. Maybe next week,” and “Send them an invitation to a bogus wedding,” as well as “Congratulations on none of these events!”

From Terri’s camp, rumours have also been shut down, with an Australian Zoo representative telling the Daily Mail that the “reports are completely false”.
