The Voice Australia 2024 coaches confirmed

After months of speculation and confirmation three of the former Voice Australia coaches would be leaving, this year’s final line-up has been confirmed.

A week after first being revealed in The Daily Telegraph, The Voice Australia coaching line-up is officially confirmed for 2024.

As predicted, Seven has given the panel an almost complete overhaul with Guy Sebastian the only one of four coaches returning to the red judging chairs.

Americans Adam Lambert and LeAnn Rimes join the fold, as does local singer Kate Miller-Heidke.

Rita Ora, Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo are not returning this year.

“This special chance to mentor and discover new voices throughout Australia is a reflection of the love and support I’ve received from my Australian fans throughout my career,” Rimes said. “I look forward to returning the love, sharing my experiences, and hearing fresh, promising talent.”

Lambert said: “It is always very special to be a part of a show that continues to not only uncover fresh Aussie talent but also shine a bright, well-deserved light on so many talented singers. Adding the insane talent of LeAnn, Kate and Adam on the show this year is going to be killer! They’re all such amazing, world-class artists who I know will bring something fresh and incredible to the season. Let’s go!”

Mauboy is not returning because she is starting her Yours Forever Tour this month and it will run through until May.

Ora, meanwhile, will be filming the American version of The Masked Singer after joining the judging panel there, while Derulo is touring Europe from March through to June.

The Voice is one of Seven’s juggernaut shows for the year.

Lambert is a huge star internationally, having been runner-up in American Idol back in 2009 and gone on to tour the world with Queen’s Roger Taylor and Brian May.

Rimes meanwhile is best known for her international hits Can’t Fight The Moonlight, from 2000 film Coyote Ugly, Blue and How Do I Live.

Respected, classically-trained Aussie pop singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke is believed to be replacing Mauboy.

Miller-Heidke represented Australia at the 2019 Eurovision in Tel Aviv, Israel, and has performed at the prestigious Coachella music festival.

She once famously released a song titled Australian Idol, in which she questioned reality TV singing shows. Australian Idol also screens on Seven.

“The art and craft of singing has been at the centre of my life and I feel like I have learned some things that might be of help to young or inexperienced performers,” Miller-Heidke said. “I’ll be looking for people with the soul of an artist; people with something to say; who make you lean in and want to know more about them. And I’m really looking forward to getting to know the other coaches. Bring it on!”

Others to have sat in the red chairs over the years include Keith Urban, Boy George, Joe Jonas, Kelly Rowland, Benji Madden, Ronan Keating, will.i.am, Seal, Ricky Martin, Kylie Minogue and Jessie J.

Sebastian has been a coach on the show for five seasons, having joined the format in 2019.
