Ten brushes off Bachelorette Ali’s scandal
REALITY star Ali Oetjen blamed long distance for the break down of her relationship to Bachelor in Paradise boyfriend Grant Kemp. But he says she was unfaithful. Now, Channel 10 is in damage control over the incident that is rocking the show’s fans.

REALITY star Ali Oetjen blamed long distance for the break down of her relationship to Bachelor in Paradise boyfriend Grant Kemp.
While Los Angeles-based Kemp has accused the new star of The Bachelorette of cheating on him with one of his friends, the 32-year-old Oetjen tells a different story.
“It is hard,” Oetjen told Confidential after the filming of the show wrapped up.
“We broke up a couple of months ago. I went over to LA because we were doing the long distance relationship and that was hard enough as it was. I went to LA and we tried to make it work but the distance just got between us.”
Bachelor in Paradise ended with Oetjen and Kemp deciding to pursue a relationship outside the show that was shot in tropical Fiji. But on the same night the finale aired, Channel 10 announced the pair had split with Oetjen signing on to star on The Bachelorette.
“My time in Fiji was so real and I did fall so deeply in love with Grant but unfortunately the distance got between us so I’ll be sticking to Australian men from now on,” she said.
Meanwhile, Kemp this week claimed in a number of interviews that he and Oetjen split when he found her in a passionate embrace with one of his mates.
“The third or fourth day she got here, we went out and this night — when all this stuff happened — I had people over after going out to a club,” Kemp told New Idea.
“I live in a gated community so I have to go down and let people in sometimes. So, I leave my house with my friend Sabrina, to go and grab my friends and bring them back upstairs, and when we walk back inside, we come up the stairs and she is hooking up with this dude.”
Channel 10 wouldn’t be drawn on the cheating accusations.
“Ali left Bachelor In Paradise committed to developing her relationship with Grant further,” a spokeswoman said. “
Unfortunately they broke up a few months later. There are two sides to the story of why they broke up. However, this is a private matter and Ali will not be commenting on the misleading claims being made by other parties or the false rumours that are being spread.
Ali’s relationship with Grant came to end but she is very happy to have the opportunity to find love in the new season of The Bachelorette Australia.”
