Hollywood actor Tammin Sursok’s career recently came full circle when she filmed a guest appearance on the recently axed soap Neighbours.
The former singer got her start on another iconic show, Home And Away, more than 20 years which made being a part of the show as it comes to an end extra special.
“I really wanted to go back and remember the days that I was on Home And Away, it was a lot of nostalgia for me,” she said.
“Now that the show is finishing, it’s really amazing to be a part of something that’s so iconic and be part of the end of it.”
Production expenses were being paid by UK network Channel 5, which announced last month that it would no longer air the show.
Neighbours helped launch many Hollywood careers including Liam Hemsworth, Margot Robbie and Russell Crowe.
Sursok, 38, said it was a “dream” to be back home after relocating from the US with her family during the pandemic.
The Pretty Little Liars star has readjusted to Aussie life after more than a decade in Los Angeles with her American husband Sean McEwen and their two children Phoenix, eight, and three-year-old Lennon.
“I came back for an acting job to film a movie in July 2021 and I’ve been lucky to continue working since then so I haven’t gone back to America,” she said.
“All of our stuff is still there, everything is still in storage and we haven’t really tied up loose ends so we’ve really made the decision to live in both places. We’re going to go back to America in a month or so and come back here after that. So we’re going to try to split our time 50/50.”
Sursok, 38, has enrolled her eldest daughter in school in Brisbane and said hopes to one day live full-time in Australia, where her family is based.
“We’re going to try to figure out a way to have her in two schools and maybe do some homeschooling,” she said.
“My dream would be to be doing a show here that I just love and to be able to be based here.”
She recently filmed a guest role on the TV series Joe vs. Carole and has now partnered with Aussie retailer Best & Less as the face of their new collection.
“I spend my life in jeans and as a mum, I’m always wanting to put on clothes that are stylish but also feel good,” she said.
