FORMER swimmer Susie Maroney has found love.
The mother of three is now dating Perry Cross with the couple making their first outing together at the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation fundraiser last week.
Cross, 40, referred to Maroney as his girlfriend in his speech to the room of about 80 guests at Apollo restaurant in Potts Point on Tuesday night.
The pair is understood to have met through friends two years ago at a sporting legends lunch.
“It’s only fresh but things are going well,” a friend told Confidential.
Cross is a quadriplegic after suffering serious injuries in a tackle when he competed in the Queensland Rugby union trials at the age of 19, playing with greats Mat Rogers and Nathan Sharpe and Nathan Grey.
Cross is based on the Gold Coast while Maroney, also 40, lives in Sydney.
