BREAKFAST TV host Samantha Armytage has gone on a social media rampage insisting the world should stop asking about her relationships — despite regularly addressing the topic herself.

IT seems Samantha Armytage is the only one allowed to talk about her dating life.

The breakfast TV host has insisted the world should stop asking about her relationships — despite regularly addressing the topic herself.

In a social media post, the Sunrise presenter declared she was one of Australia’s “most senior female journalists” and should be asked “intelligent questions” about, “but not limited to”, politicians’ citizenship, the Aussie cricket team and beef prices.

She said “next time I won’t” answer questions about her love life.

Confusingly, Armytage’s tirade came just days after her latest on-air tease about her love life.

On Wednesday, Armytage was interviewing attractive Queensland police officer Mason Jago when she paused to declare “can we just have a moment to look at Mason’s arms please”, and giggled as she told him he was good looking.

As well, in a live weather cross on Monday, Armytage quipped, with a smirk, that she “might be” dating someone before saying the story would be picked up by “silly websites”.

Armytage’s Instagram rant was prompted by a Confidential interview published yesterday in which she confirmed she was single and not very good at relationships.

“I am still as hopeless at it as I was when I was 21,” she said.

Confidential asked about her love life because of Armytage’s on-air comments earlier in the week.

On Instagram yesterday she wrote that she had “minors in both American Politics & PR/marketing”, and so wanted to instead be asked intelligent questions.

Unfortunately for Armytage, she made a grammatical error in the post, which she later rushed to correct.

Also at odds with her fury is the fact that her “friends” and spin team have often contacted this column spruiking stories about her chemistry with various stars, from Harry Styles to Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe ... and her infamous “date” with Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet.
