Pete Evans’ has thanked Apple for keeping his podcast online after the controversial show was banned from Spotify.

The streaming service took the extraordinary measure late on Monday night, deeming Evans’ conspiracy views on COVID-19 inappropriate for the platform.

“Spotify prohibits content on the platform which promotes dangerous false, deceptive, or misleading content about COVID-19 that may cause offline harm and/or pose a direct threat to public health,” Spotify said in a statement. “When content that violates this standard is identified, it is removed from the platform.”

It is the latest blow to the beleaguered former My Kitchen Rules judge.

However, the 47-year-old praised Apple on Tuesday evening for keeping the podcast up on their platform.

“Thanks to Apple podcasts for having me on their platform. We are the number 2 ranked podcast channel for nutritional advice according to their rankings,” he said on Instagram.

Evans is a staunch anti-vaxxer and believes COVID-19 is a hoax to benefit certain industries, mainly the medical business and its offshoots.

He has been vocal against the use of face masks and in April was fined more than $25,000 by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) over claiming a ‘Bio Charger’ device had magical coronavirus eradication properties.

Evans, also a supporter of US President Donald Trump, shares his opinions daily with videos and podcasts to his more than 1.5 million followers on Facebook.

In May, Channel 7 revealed it had parted ways with Evans after 10 years as a judge on MKR.

He was replaced by Colin Fassnidge on the current season of reality show I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! after sparking outrage by sharing a cartoon that included the Black Sun symbol from Nazi Germany.

In December, Facebook removed Evans’ official page for what it claimed were repeated breaches of its misinformation and harm policies.

“Looks like my podcast channel has been removed from this company,” Evans wrote on Instagram. “Could it have something to do with the many brave doctors and scientists that we interview, that are warning people about these poisons that’s disguised as medicine? Or could it do with the hundreds of hours of information that helps people live a healthy lifestyle … or both? You will always find us on the evolvenetwork.tv which will always be uncensored for you all.”

A few hours later, he added: “You don’t have to think too hard to understand what this whole censorship issue is about. You may also have come to the conclusion that the last 10-12 months have not been about a virus either. If it smells as fishy as all of this does, then you know, it is rotten to the CORE. And yes Spotify just publicly announced they removed my ‘DANGEROUS’ evolve podcast channel that discusses long term sustainable health topics from their platform. You can still find it at the evolve network and apple podcasts.”
