THE daughter of mining magnate Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest is quickly showing she has a real flair for acting. And a pair of flares as well.
Sophia Forrest donned a pair of bell-bottoms as she channelled a 1970s rebel to film her first scenes of hit TV drama Love Child in Sydney this week.
The 22-year-old landed a three-year contract on the Channel 9 show straight out of Western Australia’s elite acting school, WAPPA.
She joins series regulars Jessica Marais and Miranda Tapsell on the show, which is shot in Sydney’s Kings Cross.
Forrest plays the character of Debbie Hampshire, whose character synopsis says “is a rebel who does everything in her power to shake things up”.
Debbie is “used to getting what she wants, but is also smart, strategic and funny. She’s a great friend, as long as you do as she says. With an uncanny ability to create drama, you’re never bored in Debbie’s company.”
