Sonia Kruger reveals she’s unrecognisable without makeup

On camera, she’s flawless but 53-year-old TV host Sonia Kruger has revealed outside the studio, she’s barely recognisable without make-up.

Television host Sonia Kruger says her shockingly casual off camera look can often provoke a reaction akin to that of another Kruger — Nightmare on Elm St villain, Freddy — from some people.

Despite being in enviable shape, the candid 53-year-old said when she’s make-up free and in casually dressed her appearance has shocked people.

“I do go from one extreme to the other,” the host of Nine Network’s morning show Today Extra and The Voice tells Stellar in this Sunday’s edition.

“My favourite jumper has holes in it everywhere … my Ugg boots have been chewed up by the dog.

“I have seen people when I’ve had to run out and get something and they have a look of absolute shock and horror on their face when they see me.

“I very rarely put make-up on when I’m not working. I’ve almost forgotten how to do it myself and when I do try, it’s never as good.”
