Simone Holtznagel on mission to spread Charlotte Dawson’s ashes
Top model Simone Holtznagel will help spread her late mentor, and close friend, Charlotte Dawson’s ashes at glamorous venues around the world. And it’s not where you’d expect.
Charlotte Dawson’s best friend is ensuring the late model’s essence endures, by scattering her ashes at glamorous venues around the world.
Dawson’s sister, Vicky, recently gave model Simone Holtznagel a vial of Dawson’s ashes and now the former Australia’s Next Top Model contestant is on a mission her late friend would appreciate.
She is visiting sites such as a Chanel store, the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and other holiday destinations loved by Dawson and leaving traces of her friend behind.

While reluctant to confirm her plan for Dawson’s ashes, Chic Management’s Holtznagel said she felt she had to leave a piece of the effervescent television host in precious and sentimental places around the globe.
“Charlotte’s ashes are in Bali, New Zealand, Bondi, and I have a little bit I am going to scatter at all her favourite designer stores on Rodeo Drive and all places fabulous,” she said.
“The security guards at Chanel were pumped when we told them it wasn’t drugs but human remains we scattered along their entrance.”
After being mentored by Dawson on the 2011 series of Australia’s Next Top Model, Holtznagel forged a close bond with the television host turned anti-bullying advocate who took her own life in 2014.
She recently posted an image on the anniversary of Dawson’s death alongside the caption, “Ever miss someone so much it hurts to breathe?”
