THERE were instant tears when singer Matt Price proposed to long time partner Jess Dunbar.
Six years after meeting at music school and 18 months after competing together on The X Factor, the couple have become engaged.
“I was in complete shock when it happened,” Dunbar told Confidential.
“It was honestly the most elaborate, romantic proposal you could possibly imagine with so much planning and secret squirrel business involved.”
Price, 26, planned the proposal for six months, popping the question last week in the gardens at Lilianfels in Katoomba, the Blue Mountains.
“I walked into the garden and a live string quartet started playing, there was champagne and waiters dressed in white suits waiting around the fountain,” Dunbar, 25, explained.
Price bought the diamond engagement ring from Martin’s jewellers in the Queen Victoria Building.
The engagement news comes ahead of their debut TV appearance on long running American TV soap, The Bold & The Beautiful, on Channel 10 on Friday.
