Hollywood actor Brian Austin Green credits former Dancing With The Stars judge Sharna Burgess, and his children, with helping him to smile again after his high-profile separation from Megan Fox.

The former Beverly Hills 90210 star has teamed up with the Australian ballroom dancer not just in his personal life but to support the #Search4Smiles campaign, which helps children with cleft palates.

He said he was excited about their future together.

“Honestly right now, this campaign, Sharna, my kids, my life, the prospect of what the future holds … the excitement of all of that, my life in general makes me smile,” he said.

“I’m in a really good, happy place.”

The couple met at a cafe in California during the pandemic last year, just a few months after Green’s split from his wife of 10 years, Transformers star Megan Fox.

After an instant connection and a few dates, the two quarantined together along with Green’s three sons Noah, eight, Bodhi, seven, and Journey, four — who he shares with Fox, 35.

He also shares a son Kassius, 19, with actor Vanessa Marcil.

Burgess, 35, said she enjoys spending time with Green’s children.

“Brian makes me smile, his beautiful boys make me smile, our life, the things we’re doing,” she said.

“The chickens in the chicken coop make me smile and creating change, being a part of this campaign with Smile Train and knowing the difference we can make is a really big thing.

“It’s also the little things, waking up in the morning and hearing the birds sing or knowing that we can go and sit at a restaurant. The world is opening up and people are really enjoying things more often and collectively that gets us all in a beautiful mood and vibration and everyone is smiling more and feeling the freedom of come out of what we’ve come from and I’m really excited for that.”

Green, 47, whose career spans over 30 years, now also works behind the lens as a producer in Hollywood.

He said he’s also focused on giving back, which is why he is using his platform to back Trueheart with their #Search4Smiles campaign to benefit non-profit Smile Train.

“This campaign is really special. Trueheart have created a search engine that you can basically use as your browser and go about your business as normal searching the web and 80 per cent of the profits from that are automatically donated to Smile Train and five other charities,” he said.

“Honestly, it doesn’t feel like giving back to me. I’ve spent so much time trying to figure out why I’ve been so blessed with the platform that I have and this is an amazing way of using it.”
