SEAFOLLY has brought back the Aussie supermodel, recruiting Shanina Shaik for its latest swimwear campaign.
The swimwear giant has featured international beauties in recent years including Gigi Hadid but this season has signed the local beauty as the face of its Spring/Summer 2016/17 collection.
“It was an honour to be chosen for a home grown Australian brand that I love,” Shaik, 25, told The Daily Telegraphahead of today’s launch.
The shoot, which took place in Byron Bay, features the Victoria’s Secret runway star in various new season styles alongside American model Hannah Ferguson and Nadine Leopold, who hails from Austria.
“It was lots of fun,” Shaik said of the shoot. “Byron Bay has some of the most amazing beaches that I have ever seen.”
The Melbourne-born model joins an impressive modelling alumni to have fronted campaigns for the Australian brand, which is now stocked all over the world, including Jessica Hart, Catherine McNeil and Miranda Kerr.
Shaik has flown in to Sydney to celebrate the new range, and will be a special guest at a private event at North Bondi Fish today.
The New York-based model said she always looked forward to returning home and was looking forward to seeing friends and family.
“I always enjoy coming back home to Australia. Australia is my home,” she said. “I miss my family, the delicious food and the Australian people.”
