Shanina Shaik joins forces with DJ Georgia Sinclair on explosive new podcast

Australian Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik has joined forces with DJ BFF Georgia Sinclair on an explosive new podcast, with both sharing deep personal battles.

Eighty per cent good, 20 per cent naughty – that’s how Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik and top Aussie DJ Georgia Sinclair live their life.

The Los Angeles-based ‘BFFS’ are set to share their celebrity filled lives with a new podcast called Eight Twenty, discussing everything from wellness to beauty, body image, balance, relationships and dating. Nothing is off limits.

“The 80/20 is open to interpretation,” Sinclair told The Daily Telegraph/Confidential.

“We are all seeking balance in life, sometimes we get it right, other times we don’t. Our aim is to give people tools and knowledge from people who have really busy and successful lives and industry leaders to help them achieve their version of 80/20.”

Shaik recently became a mum for the first time to baby son, Zai. With him now aged 10 months, she will speak about motherhood and in the first episode that will be released in September, will detail the post-partum depression she suffered after childbirth.

“As a model, people may know my work in front of the camera or on the runway but I haven’t ever really had the opportunity to share my life behind the lens,” Shaik said.

“I’m really very candid in this. Georgia is one of my closest friends and it is just us sitting and talking about important issues to us in the hope that it might be relatable to others.”

She added of motherhood and the depression she has experienced: “Life has changed dramatically since I’ve become a mum. My son is my world and I love him to my core but it has taken a lot of adjustment and I have been processing that, like all mothers do. Being transparent about my story is very important to me because post-partum depression is so common and hopefully other women will feel some support in that.”

Sinclair worked as a presenter in Australia before moving to the United States, where she is an in demand DJ and has residencies in Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles.

The podcast will feature celebrity guests, mostly friends of the pair, including actor, model and life coach Nazanin Mandi, who is also the ex-wife of singer Miguel.

Others to feature in episodes include Shaik’s Victoria’s Secret models Jasmine Tookes and Josephine Skriver, muso G-Easy and prominent life coach Flynn Skidmore.
