Self-confessed ‘dork’ Sophie Monk is just looking for love with a fellow bogan

SOPHIE Monk’s closest friends have described her as a down-to-earth “Aussie bogan” — and it turns out that’s just what she’d like to find in a man.

While the newly minted Bachelorette is holidaying in Canada ahead of filming commencing, producers of the show are finalising the casting of her suitors — the bachie boys who will vie for her heart.

Monk’s social media presence has taken a distinct comical tone, with repeated self-deprecating posts where she doesn’t shy away from her reputation as a bit of a dork (see above).

It’s understood that while she’s away, Monk has been in constant contact with the production team of the Channel 10 show to ensure the gentlemen they’re selecting match her down-to-earth nature.

“Producers have been calling her to find out what she wants, and she is giving them free rein with casting the right guy for her,” a source told Confidential.

Another production insider told Confidential the 37-year-old’s honesty is a producer’s dream.

“Sophie is an open book and she is absolutely going to be herself on The Bachelorette,” they said.
