SHE’S spent five years in the public spotlight, but Sam Frost says she doesn’t know how much longer her time in the entertainment industry will last.
The 28-year-old’s career started by being chosen and later dumped by Bachelor Blake Garvey. She then posed topless for Maxim magazine in a shoot she later claimed was exploitative. She later agreed to do The Bachelorette before splitting with her chosen man Sasha Mielczarek.
She then signed on for breakfast radio before her show with Rove McManus was dumped and moved to a later slot.
Her latest move has seen her sign up as a contestant on Seven’s new cooking reality show Hell’s Kitchen, but despite yet another foray into TV, Frost has revealed she is now unsure if she will continue to work in radio and television in the future.
“It’s trial and error and I’m sure, you know, if I’m still in this industry in two years’ time I’ll look back at now and go, ‘You’ve got so many lessons to learn’,” she said on The Morning Show, “But at the moment I’m just figuring it out and putting one foot in front of the other and then, I don’t know failing and trying again.”
Just this week, Frost was spotted in very high spirits after a long lunch in Darlinghurst which saw her putting on a dramatic performance and miming a bizarre act that appeared to be licking.
Frost also spoke of her tumultuous experience of being in the public eye, saying surrounding herself with her family and friends was the key to surviving life in the spotlight.
“Like, they would love me if I was a check-out chick at the supermarket,” she added.
“So you know, I know they like me for me and I don’t get too, I don’t know, like lost and stuck in the industry. I suppose I see it for what it is. I enjoy it. I have fun but it doesn’t define who I am.”
