Sam Armytage splits from boyfriend Paul O’Brien

Samantha Armytage and her on-again-off-again businessman boyfriend Paul O’Brien have ended their steamy relationship. The couple fell for each other over a year ago after meeting, but it seems the festive season has taken its toll.

Samantha Armytage and her on-again-off-again businessman boyfriend Paul O’Brien have ended their steamy relationship.

The couple fell hard for each other over a year ago after meeting, according to sources, when Armytage took a chartered flight through his company, AVMIN.

According to Queensland sources, Armytage struck up an immediate rapport with O’Brien whose estranged wife is a television star in her own state, Ten Queensland newsreader Georgina Lewis.

After sparks started flying with Armytage, O’Brien quit Brisbane for Sydney, with the couple splitting their time together between her Bondi house and Southern Highlands retreat where they were often sighted walking her labrador retriever.

By October, the pair were ready to go public with their relationship and were sighted at the exclusive Crystal Club at Melbourne’s Crown Tower the weekend of the AFL grand final.

But it seems the festive season took its toll on the couple and in January there were rumours the Sunrise breakfast anchor and the aviation boss were taking a breather.

According to sources, the pair attempted a reconciliation but now comes word the multi-millionaire O’Brien, who many hoped might be 42-year-old Armytage’s perfect match — cheeky, brash, fun-loving — has packed his toothbrush for good.

O’Brien is the managing director of AVMIN, an aircraft charter company he started after years working in both the commercial airlines and charter aviation sectors.
