Love is off the table for Sam Armytage after her recent break-up.
The TV presenter is however happy to showcase blossoming romance on screen after wrapping production on her latest project, hosting The Golden Bachelor.
“My love life is pretty quiet, not much to write home about there but the show’s love life is fantastic,” Armytage told Confidential.
“I am living vicariously through my show at the moment.”
The comments come months after the former Sunrise co-host confirmed her split from husband Richard Lavender after less than four years of marriage.
Armytage last year announced she had defected from Channel 7 to Nine to host Golden Bachelor, which will see Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden, 50, looking for love.
The series will air later this year with reports of wild parties and antics during filming.
“It is a dating show, the banter was wild,” Armytage, 48, said.
“He is gorgeous, Australia is going to love him.
“It was very different to anything I’ve done before, particularly the ladies that are meeting Bear, they’ve had big lives of their own and they weren’t going to be pushed around. They can certainly hold their own.”
Armytage was among the celebrity guests sat front row at the Carla Zampatti show that kicked off Australian Fashion Week for 2025 on Monday night at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Asked if she’d ever experienced a fashion faux pas, she said: “There’s been so many situations with Spanx moving under outfits, I won’t go through them all but of course we all have fashion faux pas. In all of these years of TV, there’s always buttons breaking and zippers breaking.”
