Sam and Phoebe Burgess rumoured to be back together
Sam Burgess and estranged wife, Phoebe, are understood to be reconciling, six weeks after calling it quits on their marriage. The news comes after Sam moved out of Anthony Bell’s Sydney mansion.
Sam Burgess and estranged wife Phoebe are understood to be reconciling six weeks after taking time out from their marriage.
The pair were spotted together for the first time since news of their split at the weekend, with both children, William, nine weeks, and Poppy, two, at Centennial Park.
Phoebe, 29, was also wearing both her engagement and wedding rings during the family outing, which have been noticeably absent since reports of the their split surfaced.
Following the high-profile separation, Sam, 30, has been hiding out at his close friend, Anthony Bell’s $10.3 million luxury mansion in Dover Heights.
“He’s been staying at Anthony’s, it was a private place for him to get his life back on track,” a source told The Daily Telegraph.

Sam is now understood to be living back with Phoebe at the couple’s $3.8 million Maroubra home with their two young children.
In recent weeks, Phoebe has been spotted out and about, including with Karl Stefanovic’s wife, Jasmine Yarbrough, in Double Bay last week.
Rumours of their breakup first emerged in December after Sam’s sister-in-law, Joanna Burgess, shared a photo of the entire Burgess family enjoying Christmas lunch at Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel, with Phoebe nowhere in sight.
The image was captioned with the hash tag “best one yet”.
Confirmation of the breakup then came on January 3, with insiders saying “things have been bad for a while.”
It is believed the marriage came to an end in early December, but the couple have vowed to keep it civil for the sake of their young children, particularly given their youngest child was less than a month old.
Sources also claimed that Phoebe had fallen out with Sam’s mother, Julie, as well as the partners of Sam’s younger brothers, twins George and Tom, Joanna Burgess and Tahlia Giumelli.
In a recent interview with Giumelli, she refused to buy into the controversy saying “I don’t really know much about what’s going on there, it’s their private lives and they have to deal with that personally.”
The past five months have been turbulent for the couple, with Sam caught up in a sexting scandal just days before his team, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, were due to play in a semi-final clash with the Dragons.
An investigation by the club later cleared their players of actionable misconduct.
The couple first met five years ago at an Avicii concert in Sydney, before going public in September 2014.
A month later, Phoebe followed Sam to the UK for his stint playing rugby union.
They returned a year later and married on December 28, 2015, in a lavish ceremony at Phoebe’s parents’ property near Bowral.
