Vaccination debate heats up on Sunrise

TV personality Sally Obermeder has welcomed her second child into the world via surrogacy – a little girl named Elyssa Rose Obermeder.

The 43-year-old star revealed she and her hubby Marcus were expecting the bub, a sister for the couple’s four-year-old daughter, Annabelle Grace, in July.

Just two days ago Obermeder posted an intimate snap of her daughter touching her surrogate’s tummy with the caption – “Everything about this picture makes my heart explode with love and gratitude”.

The Channel 7 anchor and her family travelled to the US where a surrogate had been carrying the baby.

The precious bundle of joy comes after the beautiful brunette suffered a miscarriage not long after losing her mother-in-law last year.

But Obermeder has proved she’s a fighter more than once, suffering from breast cancer when she was 41 weeks’ pregnant in 2011.

She began her eight months of intensive chemotherapy when Annabelle Grace, who was conceived with the help of IVF, was just 10 days old.

In October 2012, doctors told her she was clear of the disease.
