THE girlfriend of Salim Mehajer has opened up about her relationship with the jailed businessman, revealing they’re planning an Islamic marriage together.
Melissa Tysoe, 28, met the former Auburn deputy mayor at his Vaucluse home on New Year’s Eve and claims she had no idea who he was at time because Mehajer gave her a fake last name.
The blonde model told KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O that, despite filming their first kiss, the 31-year-old is “very sweet and very romantic”, taking her out to dinner and ice-cream on their first date.
“He’s like a little kid,” she said.
Mehajer is back behind bars after breaching his bail conditions over allegations he staged a car crash in October last year.
Ms Tysoe said he calls her every day but she isn’t able to visit him in prison as they aren’t family.
She said she would stay with the bankrupt property developer if he was sentenced to a long stint behind bars, but only for a “max two years”.
When quizzed about their sex life, Ms Tysoe — who is a Catholic, revealed the pair is “planning on an Islamic marriage”.

Salim Mehajer made headlines in 2015 following a lavish wedding with ex-wife Aysha Learmonth which included four helicopters, a jet flyover and a sea plane.
The former couple were embroiled in a bitter marriage break down where Mehajer filmed himself screaming abuse at Ms Learmonth and threatening to rape family members.
Ms Tysoe said she was “horrified” when she saw the footage and confronted her boyfriend, but decided he was simply “heartbroken”.
“People have gotten him wrong”, she said.
The 28-year-old also opened up about two violent robberies, claiming she woke to find masked men holding crowbars standing over her bed.
“One of them tried to get into bed with me and I froze … it was awful”.
She said the second incident happened during the day and while she reported the burglaries to police, the thieves are still on the run.
Earlier in the week Ms Tyson — who has almost 54,000 followers on Instagram, revealed she has been the target of online trolls and receives regular death threats.
