Hollywood star Ryan Gosling will call Sydney home for the remainder of the year.

Wearing a cap, sunnies and a double denim ensemble, The Notebook star will soon begin shooting a big screen version of hit 80s TV series, The Fall Guy.

Actor wife Eva Mendes also wore a cap as the couple and their young kids were escorted out the VIP exit of Sydney Airport after a long-haul flight from the US.

David Leitch is on board to direct while Emily Blunt will also star in the film that will be based out of Sydney’s Fox Studios and is tipped to inject some $244 million into the Australian economy.

The Fall Guy is a Universal studio production from the same team that brought Julia Roberts and George Clooney to Queensland to shoot Ticket To Paradise last year.

It is based on the television series that was created by Glen A. Larson (Battlestar Galactica, Magnum P.I.) originally ran from 1981 to 1986 and starred Lee Majors as Colt Seavers, Douglass Barr as Howie ‘Kid’ Munson and Heather Thomas as Jody Banks.

The series was based around the story of Hollywood stunt man, Seavers, who has a side hustle as a bounty hunter.

Two-time Oscar nominated Gosling of course is one of the biggest name male stars in Hollywood. He will next be seen alongside Aussie Margot Robbie in the much anticipated flick, Barbie, as Ken.

His other film credits include La La Land, Blue Valentine, The Nice Guys, The Gray Man, Drive and Half Nelson.

The Fall Guy production will receive $30 million grant as part of the federal government’s Location Incentive Program. A further nearly $15 million has been committed by the NSW government.
