The 27-year-old twin reportedly belted out a Michael Buble tune, before telling the panel he fell in love with music after starring in play for the Short + Sweet Festival.
Burgess played the leading role of Prince Edward in the play ‘Not So Enchanted’ at the Tom Mann Theatre in Surry Hills in February and apparently caught the acting and singing bug.
The Englishman has previously revealed his good friend and Rabbitohs co-owner Russell Crowe is encouraging him to pursue a career as a singer.
“I always loved doing school plays and I always had a creative side but I never pursued it properly,” he has previously said.
“I think I was always a bit embarrassed and a bit nervous to do so.”
