But when you’re mum’s a business guru and you’ve already managed to build a multi-million dollar empire, why not push the boat out a little.
And Roxy Jacenko’s daughter, Pixie, is in for a week she’ll never forget judging by the festivities which have begun well in advance of her August 16 birthday.
Yesterday the star publicist took to Instagram showing off a massive bouquet of pink roses that were almost as big as her!
“Early mark for my little @pixiecurtis 5th birthday celebration tonight,” she wrote alongside the snap.
And what a celebration it was, with pictures later emerging of Pixie’s extravagant bash, which featured a room brimming with giant balloons, presents and an elaborate Cakes 2 Cupcakes personalised chocolate cake.
Gifts included Frozen and Finding Nemo goodie bags, Barbie dolls, and a flash new Apple Mac laptop.
It’s been a harrowing year for the family, with Roxy’s husband Oliver Curtis, who’s father to the couple’s two children Pixie and Hunter, two, jailed earlier this year for insider trading.
Just a few weeks after, the family were hit with another devastating blow when Roxy, 36, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
To mark her little girl’s special celebration, the dedicated mum and entrepreneur posted a heartfelt message to Instagram calling her daughter her “best friend”.
“To my best friend@pixiecurtis happy birthday month!!!!! My 5 best years yet because of you the first of many celebrations today.”
Roxy hinted that there were more surprises to come; saying the next stop would be the lavish Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong.
