PR queen Roxy Jacenko will fly out with kids Pixie and Hunter to Hong Kong this morning to celebrate her daughter Pixie’s birthday.
In celebrating of Pixie turning five, the trip comes one week after the 36-year-old underwent surgery following a shock breast cancer diagnosis, aged just 36.
The mother-of-two is understood to have had the surgery in Melbourne’s Freemasons Epworth hospital, rather than in her native Sydney where she lives and conducts her business. Sources close to Jacenko say the businesswoman starts radiation treatment to fight the disease in the next fortnight.
The Sweaty Betty principal was all business yesterday, when she was photographed walking at Bondi with an unknown male before today boarding a flight to the Asian city.
The trip will be Jacenko’s first with her children since husband Oliver Curtis was sent to jail earlier this year.
Curtis, 30, was in June found guilty of insider trading with his former best friend John Hartman and sentenced to a minimum of one year imprisonment despite Jacenko’s pleas for him to be spared imprisonment.
He is interred at Sydney’s Parklea Correctional Centre, where six-minute phone calls are a far cry from his previously lavish lifestyle.
While her dad won’t be there for her special day, celebrations for Pixie’s fifth birthday are well under way — a week ahead of the fact.
Happy snaps uploaded to her 110,000 Instagram followers show the high-profile preschooler surrounded by a tiered cake, stacks of brightly coloured gifts and balloons to celebrate.
