Real Housewives star Erika Jayne: ‘Sydney Housewives are being nasty because their lives are boring’

THE Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Girardi has some advice for her Sydney franchise counterparts — get more exciting lives.
Although the franchises are a ratings success in America, The Daily Telegraph reported that TV bosses are not picking up the Real Housewives of Sydney because the women were “too nasty”.
Girardi, who goes by stage name Erika Jayne, admits she’s only seen the show “very briefly” but believes that if women are constantly being nasty it’s because their “lives are boring”.
“Everyone loves the drama and the conflict, but you have to round out those edges,” says Girardi, who is married to Tom Girardi the lawyer who represented Erin Brockovich.
“The great thing about us is we have our own lives. Lisa Vanderpump owns restaurants, Lisa Rinnahas a clothing line and Kyle Richards is the executive producer of her own television show. We don’t have just one card to play. We have other things going on so you don’t have to play the mean card or the shrill card all the time.”

As well as appearing on the show, Girardi is a singer and dancer and has had nine No. 1 singles on the Billboard charts.
Girardi is in Australia to promote new streaming service hayu however the gay icon said she wants to come back to Sydney next year to perform at Mardi Gras.
“I would turn Mardi Gras out so hard,” she said.
