BEING in The Real Housewives Of Sydney has made Krissy Marsh a household name, but it came at a cost.
During filming Marsh was spotted at a function in tears when questioned about the stress of having her morals questioned by fellow cast mate Lisa Oldfield.
She also endured humiliating accusations on-screen that she’d had sex with an array of men, prompting her to ask her family not to watch the show.
Marsh opened up to Confidential exclusively about her journey as one of seven stars on the new Foxtel show, and how she is ready to move on from her tension with Oldfield, which was the catalyst for some of her most difficult moments.
Marsh said she made no apologies for her larger-than-life personality.
“I was 100 per cent myself,” she said.
“I do like to wear low-cut tops because that is what suits me. I am a flirty person and I knew producers would play on that, but I was not going to change. I like to make people feel happy and comfortable and that is just the way I am.”
The former real estate mogul said she was not intimidated by her outspoken co-stars.
“What is the difference between having a housewife yell at me to having a property owner yelling at me,” Marsh said.
Now, weeks after filming wrapped, Marsh is enjoying her new-found fame and spending time with her children and husband, who supported her through the process of appearing.
“Having Johnny being so supportive of me has been amazing,” she said.
“He is running a massive company and has a high profile. For him to let me do this show and to support me … made it so much easier. I couldn’t have done it without his support.”
Marsh said her children Nicco, Milana and Billy have also enjoyed being part of the experience.
“They have loved it. They have all done a bit of modelling, as I did when I was younger, so it hasn’t been that weird to be in front of the cameras,” she said.
“I only let my younger two children watch some parts of the show. It isn’t really a show for children.”
Reflecting on the experience, Marsh was enthusiastic to do a second season, and pledged to end her conflict with Oldfield.
“You are not going to get along with everyone. I have so many other things going on that I am just interested in my friends and family,” she said.
