NSW Police have been called in to examine controversial reality TV show Married At First Sight over a glass smashing incident and a nude photo leak.

Confidential understands that police were recently contacted over an ongoing dispute between brides Olivia Frazer and Domenica Calarco, however no charges have been laid.

A police report has been filed into the glass incident and an investigation is ongoing.

Confidential has contacted Channel 9 and production company Endemol Australia for comment.

Earlier this month, viewers watched in horror as fiery makeup artist Calarco, 28, smashed a wine glass during a heated exchange with Frazer.

More recently, another shocking scene played out when the 27-year-old teaching assistant “leaked” nude photos of Calarco to other contestants on the show.

It’s unclear what sparked the police complaint nearly one year after filming took place in Inner West Sydney.

Insiders claim it was Frazer who recently lodged a complaint over the glass incident. Calarco contacted police about the nude photo leak and is exploring legal options.

It comes after Confidential revealed that several contestants were furious at MAFS producers over concerns about “contrived drama” and “deliberate” mismatching between couples to boost ratings.

Now in its 9th season, the show appears to be making an effort to protect the welfare of contestants after previously coming under scrutiny following an investigation by The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) last year.

In previous seasons, there have been concerns about editing tricks, inappropriate behaviour on and off the set and mental health struggles from contestants.
