Pop superstar Pink has surprised sick kids at an Australian hospital.
The So What singer dropped by the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, where she is understood to have spent close to two hours with the children and their families.
Daughter Willow, 12, showing off a newly shaved hair look, was also on hand.
“It’s days like these that are super humbling,” Pink told The Daily Telegraph.
Pink’s mum, Judy, and stepmother, Grace, both worked as nurses.
“I grew up in the hospital, and my mum and stepmum are both nurses, so it was fantastic to take Willow with me this time to spend some time with these kids and bring a bit of sunshine to their day hopefully.
“The parents I got to meet as well are so strong and resilient, they are the true superstars here.”
Sharing the experience to her millions of followers on social media, Pink urged people to research the hospital to learn more about “the vital work they’re doing to help create a world where all kids thrive”.
“It’s been 22 years since I first visited families at the Royal Children’s Hospital, and it was a privilege to return this week,” the 44-year-old wrote on Instagram.
“Thank you to everyone who spent time with Willow and me. Thank you for sharing your stories and letting us play you a couple of songs. We won’t forget this day.”
One of the songs Pink and Willow sang acoustically was Cover Me In Sunshine, which they’ve been performing on stage together during her stadium shows.
After two sellout shows at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium in February, Pink will play Accor Stadium on Saturday.
She will have spent more than six weeks here touring her Summer Carnival shows when she wraps in Brisbane and Townsville next week.
