Pest control were called to SAS Australia star Roxy Jacenko’s $6.5 million Vaucluse home last week.
Neighbours spotted a Flick truck, which specialises in termite solutions, arriving at the sprawling property, presumably in response to an infestation.
However, the PR maven told Confidential that she was simply trying to prevent creepy-crawlies from infesting her lavish home.
“We don’t have any [pests]. I just don’t want to risk having any especially given that I have young children... One issue which really bothers me is Spiders. Nothing worse than walking through a web!” Jacenko said.
She purchased the six-bedroom property through a Ray White auction two years ago.
The three-storey home boasts five bathrooms, a luxury swimming pool and sweeping harbour views.
Earlier this year, the Sweaty Betty founder announced she lost 85 per cent of her multimillion-dollar business in just three days due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We have been hit extremely hard, as at today 85 per cent of the Sweaty Betty PR business fell over within just 72 Hours off the back of COVID-19 seeing four extremely loyal and dedicated team members sadly lose their employment as a direct result,” she said at the time.
What began as a difficult year went from bad to worse when she fractured her pelvis and hip while horseriding, six weeks before she was scheduled to film Channel 7’s gruelling reality TV show SAS Australia.
The mother-of-two was forced to quit the show after just six hours.
“My health comes first and foremost for me,” she said.
