One piece swimsuits have made a huge comeback, with modern cuts and sexy styles giving them pride of place in Australian women’s swimwear drawers this season according to the country’s top buyers.
“This summer season we’ve seen a strong resurgence of one-pieces,” David Jones Women’s Swimwear Senior Buyer Megan Hook said.
Brands such as Stella McCartney, Jets and Seafolly have all added more swimsuit styles to their new season collections on the back of consumer demand for the belly-covering style.
“In Stella McCartney’s one-piece you see the sport-luxe interpretation, with cleverly placed mesh panels and electric Dahlia orange colouring,” Ms Hook added.
Fast fashion brands including Cotton On Body, Supre and international retailer Boohoo have also jumped on the trend, releasing all-in-one styles for less than $50.
