“I have been picking up the choreography but I have not mastered those moves yet. I have the steps but it doesn’t look great.”
Valance took a break from rehearsing to announce her signing as the new face of L’Oreal Professionnel’s Colour Me French campaign.
Her DWTS competition includes Courtney Act, Michelle Bridges, Denise Scott and Miguel Maestre.
Valance has back to back work booked through until August with production on the second season of TV drama Playing For Keeps to start straight after DWTS.
“I felt this year was going to be a bit different and wanted to do something that challenges me,” she said. “I’ve done that with Dancing with the Stars and I am really excited about the stories that are coming up for season two of Playing for Keeps and excited to get the family back together.”
As for her hair, while Valance enjoys mixing it up with fashion, she likes to keep her locks as natural as possible.
“I like to push boundaries with my clothes but when it comes to my hair, I do like a more natural look.”
