NSW has another winner in the Girlfriend Priceline Pharmacy Model Search.
Confidential can exclusively reveal that Imani Dilworth, from Tura Beach on the south coast, has taken the top prize, which includes a two-year modelling contract with Chic Management, $5000 cash and a trip to meet international modelling agencies in either New York or London.
The fresh-faced teen, who beat thousands of entrants, joins the ranks of international success stories Ruby Rose, Catherine McNeil, Alyssa Sutherland and Abbey Lee Kershaw, who were all discovered through the competition.
Dilworth will grace the cover of Girlfriend and told the magazine, which is on sale tomorrow, that becoming a model is the fulfilment of her girlhood dreams.
“I always joke with Mum that I’m gonna model in Milan, so it’d be funny if that actually happened,” she said.
The young model also has a grounded approach for dealing with detractors — an attitude that will serve her well in the notoriously cutthroat modelling industry.
“When people say stuff about you, try not to take it personally,” she said.
“I’ve had people say things about me that aren’t nice, but I know I’m not that person.”
