New dad DJ Fisher: ‘It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do’

DJ Fisher and wife Chloe are first time parents after years of trying to fall pregnant. The internationally renowned muso has detailed the best time of his life while explaining why it has also been a hard time.

Australia’s top international DJ Paul ‘Fisher’ says his newborn daughter Bobbi Maree will join him on tour as soon as possible.

Fisher and wife Chloe welcomed ‘miracle baby’ Bobbi to the world on June 20 and had previously shared their ”nightmare” three year journey to becoming parents.

“I got to spend 14 days with her after she was born and mate, it is just magic,” Fisher told Confidential.

“I’ve always wanted to be a dad and I just can’t wait for her to be able to travel and be with me all around the world, it is going to be very special.”

Over those three years of trying to fall pregnant, the couple endured four miscarriages.

“It is such a special time for me and Chloe, we’d been trying for so long,” he said. “It was the happiest and most emotional day ever. She is beautiful and I am missing her right now.”

Fisher’s touring schedule has been booked a long time in advance. He’s just played a run of shows in the US and will be in Germany on July 20 before heading to Las Vegas, Toronto, London, back to Germany and then France.

He has shows booked until the end of the year.

“I left home the other day and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,” he said. “Normally I am pretty goog with travelling and getting around and that was like, ‘wow’. I had to leave and I didn’t really want to. Once Bobbi is ready to travel, she will be with me in a few weeks. I like that family feeling when I am on the road.”

Fisher, 37, spoke to Confidential from New York days after being announced as the new ambassador for Lynx to launch its new Fine Fragrance Collection.

“I don’t really do much stuff like this,” he said.

“Nothing has really tickled my interest. If it comes up, I will do it if I like it.

“I am not a perfume kind of dude but I am definitely a deodorant dude, I don’t like to smell s*** so I like to keep my armpits fresh and clean.”
