New couple alert: High profile Sydney pair dating after going through separate breakups

Longtime friends bounce back from breakups for one of Australia’s top fashion designers to find new love. Here is what you need to know.

Having both gone through recent breakups, top Aussie fashion designer Sophie Coote has found love with eastern suburbs good guy Jordy Burrows.

Confidential can reveal the SIR fashionista is living with Burrows, with friends saying the pair are extremely happy together.

“They are really loved up,” one friend told this column.

“It is beautiful to see. They’re living together and very happy, keeping it low key.”

Coote is known to be extremely private, as is Burrows, and neither responded when contacted for comment.

It is understood Coote and Burrows were long time friends before their relationship became a romantic one.

Burrows works for John Winning of Winning Group and is well liked in the Eastern Suburbs with a big network of well-placed friends around the world.

He was previously married to Hollywood actor Nathalie Kelley, of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift fame, the pair having separated after two years together in 2020.

Coote wed her ex, Daniel Fraser, in a lavish ceremony over in Western Australia in February 2023. The nuptials were covered by Vogue Australia.

Confidential understands SIR co-designer and best friend Nikki Campbell has been a huge support to Coote, as has model Montana Cox.

The news comes weeks after Confidential revealed the high profile Eastern Suburbs break-up of popular publicist Andy El-Bayeh and kinesiologist Harriet Williams after their two years of marriage and six years together.

Weeks earlier, the couple had been posting romantic images of themselves attending a number of euro weddings. They were most recently seen together at Leo Coates’ wedding, which was attended by the likes of Johnny Ingham, Rey Vakili, Tamie Ingham and Guillaume Brahimi.
