Production company Playmaker Media is hunting for loveless hopefuls to appear on Channel Ten reality show, Blind Date, to be hosted by Morris.

The format is a reimagining of hit eighties dating show Perfect Match, hosted by Greg Evans.

An online site has put a call out for “outgoing single men and women of all ages to take part and have a shot at picking their ideal partner through a series of fun and cheeky questions.”

Applicants must be single, of course, aged 18 or older, and an Australian citizen or resident.

“It is the dating show for the rest of us,” A Cast Of Thousands agency casting director Graeme de Vallance told The Sunday Telegraph’s Confidential.

“We are inclusive of everyone, so it won’t just be just straight couples. Most importantly, it is a bit of fun and you don’t have to marry anyone.”

As with Perfect Match, the series will see a single person faced with three prospective suitors to choose from.

“It is a super-fun take on getting to know someone really quickly,” comedian Morris has said. “It has a speed dating vibe to it and success will very much be in how much thought our contestants are putting into their answers. Comedy wins the day. The very exciting thing for me about this format is it’s not a dating show; it’s a comedy dating show.”
