“I can’t tell you how often I am moving furniture and changing pictures. It has actually been a big dream of mine to buy and renovate houses and sell them, but obviously I’ve had no time to do that so it isn’t possible but it is probably something I will do down the track.”
Changing Rooms, with Wilks hosting, aired from 1998 to 2005 with contestants swapping houses to renovate.
Bassingthwaighte will meet the production team behind the Channel 10 show this week, with filming to begin next month in Sydney.
“I am obsessed with any renovation shows,” Bassingthwaighte said.
“I did an interior design course when I was pregnant with my daughter Harper so I have a real love and passion for it.”
