Sydney’s social scene is well and truly back, with the biggest event of the year taking place this week.
More than 250 A-list guests will make their way to Bennelong Lawn in the Royal Botanic Garden where a huge 500sq m circular gold structure is under construction for what’s been branded a Moët & Chandon “mega-event”.
Rumours are rife a Hollywood heavyweight will be attending the event, with Sunday Confidential hearing either Simon Baker, Rita Ora or Liam Hemsworth will be making an appearance.
New Moët & Chandon ambassador Victoria Lee, who took over from Jesinta Franklin, will be joined by a bevy of big names including former Olympian Ian Thorpe, Merivale boss Justin Hemmes and models Georgia Fowler, Jarrod Scott and Charlee Fraser for the Wednesday night event.
A number of new couples will also be making their first red carpet appearances together, with Pip Edwards and Michael Clarke and Guillaume Brahimi and Tamie Ingham also set to attend.
“This is the first time we have really been able to come together in the last two years,” Lee told Sunday Confidential.
“I feel like there is a bit of confidence in the fact we can celebrate together now. We are in such a good place in Australia so I feel good about this event and holiday season.”
