Jasmine Stefanovic has opened up about the universal struggle of being a working mum but says she’s aware that other mothers carry a heavier load.

The same week Stefanovic and her business partner Tamie Ingham opened their newest bricks and mortar store in Birkenhead Point, the wife of Nine TV host Karl Stefanovic has spoken about the juggle and acknowledged the pressure on mothers who do not have the same levels of support and flexibility she does.

“It can be a challenge at times but I think you do the best you can,” Stefanovic, who is mum to one-year-old Harper told Sunday Confidential.

“I love being with my daughter. It’s the greatest gift. And I’m fortunate to have a business which allows me to dive in and out.

“Managing everything is tough and I work hard but I count myself extraordinarily lucky. “There are people whose struggle is real and the pressures are immense. My heart goes out to them. I’m very, very lucky.”

Stefanovic and Ingham, who are both in high-profile relationships (Ingham is dating chef Guillaume Brahimi), have not only managed to stay afloat during the Covid-19 pandemic but have thrived.

“Like any small business the past two years have been very difficult,” Stefanovic said.

“We had to pivot and reshape the business without consistent retail.

“We shifted our focus online but now it’s time to get face-to-face with our loyal customers.”

Ingham said while the pandemic may have slowed things down momentarily, it gave the partners time to reassess and re-work their offering.

“The brand has had a great opportunity to pause, reflect, rethink strategy and progress,” she said.

“We’ve gone from four huge collections a year to stripping it back to key collections we can be extremely proud of.

“We have concentrated more on our online and digital strategy which has delivered great

results and overall it has been positive and we’ve adapted in these times.”
