Who will take home GQ’s esteemed Man of the Year title for 2024?
That’s the big question as our top stars step out for the annual GQ Men of the Year in association with Defender event in Sydney.
The country’s finest talent across film, music, television and society have walked the red carpet for the 16th annual event that this year is being held at Rozelle’s White Bay Power Station.
Sam and Lara Worthington, Orville Peck, Cooper Koch and Noemie Fox are just some of the names in attendance with comedians Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald hosting the night.

Rugby league player Dom Young meanwhile is finding his look off the field, attending the event as the new face of a campaign for Armarni’s EA7 and JD Sports.
“I’m definitely not a natural yet, but I’m picking it up,” Young told Confidential.
“I thought it was kind of the right time to branch out and I thought delving into the modelling world would be a good avenue for me.”
In preparation, the 23-year-old donned an Armani suit for an exclusive Telegraph photo shoot.
Measuring just under 200cm tall, finding the right fit isn’t always easy. “It can be a bit tricky finding the perfect fit,” Young said.
“As a footballer, the perception on it (modelling) is a bit different, so I kind of need to get that head off me, just feel it and get in the rhythm of it.
“(Rugby League) keeps me in pretty good shape, so I think that probably helps. Part of my job is to look my best, to be in the best shape I can be, so it goes hand-in-hand in that respect.”
Young said he had fielded a few requests from agencies and ultimately chose to sign with Kult Management Australia.
“I’ve had a few people reach out to me and a few people trying to push me in that direction and I was always not sure if I wanted to do it,” he said.
“It took me a while to work out what face I am doing and how I can translate that to the camera. I would think I’d be looking all right in a certain pose and it wouldn’t look good.”
