Model Natalie Roser reveals why her new husband is living in Thailand

Sydney-based model Natalie Roser has revealed why her Home and Away star husband of six months is living thousands of kilometres away.

It has been anything but a usual first few months of marriage for bikini model Natalie Roser.

Just after tying the knot in February, Roser’s actor husband headed off to Thailand to study energy healing and meditation.

“It is a whole other world that I don’t understand,” Roser said of Harley Bonner’s study.

“He is so happy. It is definitely an unconventional first year of marriage. He is fulfilling his dreams and who would I be to stand in his way of doing something that he has wanted to do for so long?”

The pair wed at Krinkelwood Vineyard in Broke on February 18 surrounded by family and friends before former Home and Away and Neighbours star Bonner embarked on his study journey.

Roser is based in Newcastle, where she has been busy renovating the couple’s home.

“I am just keeping myself busy and long-distance relationships are so popular these days, they are just so done. You have got FaceTime,” she told Confidential at the recent Sheike Spring/Summer launch at Catalina.

“I could go and visit him but I am giving him his time. He has got a lot to learn in a short period of time so I would be a bit of a distraction so we are letting him finish his thing and I will get the house ready. We are living our own lives and it works.”

She continued: “This is just year one. And I would rather him do this than when we have children because I just don’t think that is as likely, I wouldn’t want him leaving for a chunk of time.”

Roser said she would love to try out a stint on a home renovation show after keeping herself busy on the tools at home.

“I am fully kitted out with all of the bits and pieces. I am learning so much. It has been exhausting but very rewarding and I am going to love saying that I have helped build this house,” she said, adding that she is a tomboy when not required to wear fancy clothes and swimsuits for work.

“If I didn’t have to wear makeup and nice dresses, I probably wouldn’t but I am blessed with that opportunity I suppose. I am a very split personality, I like to be able to do both and some days are switched off and some days are switched on.”
