Fearing the Kardashian/Jenner curse, which has seen multiple famous sports stars’ lives go down hill after hooking up with one of the reality TV star sisters, fans have begged Simmons to run a mile.
However it looks like the Aussie players down-to-earth mum is embracing the famous model, despite having previously spoken about her concerns about the fame which comes with being a professional basketball player.
“Our family is pretty close, the older siblings keep him in line pretty much. I see him out there playing against LeBron James and Steph Curry and I just can’t believe it,” Julie previously told Sunday Confidential.
“He is young so we want him to be able to enjoy growing up without too much attention but it comes with the attention. What can you do?
“We try to encourage him not to let the highs be too high and the lows be too low, just try and keep it in the middle somewhere and you’ll be okay.
“Ben is living his dream. He was one of those kids that lived on the beach and in the basketball gym so he is very much an Aussie kid but the NBA has taken him away from Australia as it is the only place he can play that level of basketball.”

The genetically blessed pair were spotted out on November 26, in Philadelphia where the athlete plays for the hometown team, the 76ers.
And earlier this month, the famous model sat courtside as Simmons played against Tristan Thompson and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
