TOGETHER they might be worth a combined $5 billion but Miranda Kerr and her husband-to-be, Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, are set to marry today in decidedly downgrade style with a backyard wedding.
Eschewing the trappings of some other celebrity weddings, the glamour pair instead simply erected a tent at their $12 million home in Los Angeles’ gilt suburb Brentwood.
Only about 30 guests, including Kerr’s grandparents who made the trip from her home town of Gunnedah, will be on hand to witness the pair exchange vows three years after they met.
It’s understood the 34-year-old model’s son, Flynn, 6, from her previous relationship with Orlando Bloom, will participate in the ceremony and, while Bloom has given the couple his blessing, he won’t attend.
Kerr’s brother Matthew and his husband James Wright are expected to attend, as will Kerr’s parents John and Therese.
