Millenials aim to continue their domination of MasterChef kitchen

MILLENIALS have dominated the MasterChef kitchen for the past two years, and now 26-year-old Anastasia Zolotarev and 22-year-old Jordan Lomax are hoping to follow in the footsteps of past winners Billie McKay and Brent Owens.

MILLENIALS have dominated the MasterChef kitchen for the past two years, and now 26-year-old Anastasia Zolotarev and 22-year-old Jordan Lomax are hoping to follow in the footsteps of past winners Billie McKay and Brent Owens.

The two Sydneysiders have beat out thousands of hopeful home cooks to make it to judges auditions in Melbourne, where they cooked for Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston in the hopes of making the show’s Top 24 class of 2016.

Unlike many contenders on the TEN reality hit, neither of the girls have worked in day jobs they hate for years — they just love food.

“I decided to audition because when I was at uni I always procrastinated by cooking, and then I got quite good at it. Last year, I just decided to give it a go,” Lomax told Confidential.

Zolotarev, 26, entered the MasterChef auditions saying she “had nothing to lose”.

A similar attitude inspired Zolotarev.

“I had nothing to lose!” said the marketing co-ordinator.
