While fiance Jon Adgemis battles for control of his business, Megan MacKenzie is getting on with life.
The “sweet” and “well-liked” model and actor has been spotted a few times in recent months, most recently on a girls’ trip to Kangaroo Valley for pal Chelsea Svoboda’s birthday.
MacKenzie joined fellow model Montana Cox, interior designers Jade Yarbrough and Chloe Matters, SIR designers Nikki Campbell and Sophie Coote, and pilates queen Bernadette Fahey on the girls-only trip.
While life looks sweet for MacKenzie, her Sydney pub magnate fiance is attempting to wrest back control of his venues.
Adgemis is in the midst of working on a deal to pay staff and suppliers across several pubs and hotels that were recently seized by lenders.
According to media reports, representatives for Adgemis presented a proposal at a creditors’ meeting this week, suggesting a deed of company arrangement (DOCA) to improve returns for staff and suppliers.
The proposed deal would allocate nearly $5.5m to pay employees and suppliers at five venues taken over by US lender Muzinich, which appointed administrators last week.
The potential DOCA from Adgemis’s camp may see the 100-150 affected staff handed 100c in the dollar on their superannuation and wage claims, but suppliers are expected to see a lesser return.
