THEY’VE long been touted as rivals, but Megan Gale and Jennifer Hawkins have denied any ill-feeling between them.
The pair grace the cover of the latest edition of Marie Claire together, and were quick to hose down speculation about rivalry. According to Gale, any reference to friction is fiction.
“It never existed,” she said of their rumoured competition.
The theories of ill-feeling came from their roles for opposing stores — Gale was an ambassador for David Jones, and Hawkins remains in that role for Myer.
“It was a fallacy,” Gale added. “It drew attention to the stores, the brands, so ultimately you understand it, but it was odd because it was based on this feud that never existed.”
They’re about to hit the small screen together in the upcoming season of Australia’s Next Top Model, with Gale joining the cast for the first time this year.
