Megan Blake Irwin determined to become Victoria Secret model

Megan Blake Irwin is determined to take her career to the next level, saying she’s wanted to be an angel since she was a little girl.

Megan Blake Irwin admits she has desires to become Australia’s next Victoria’s Secret angel but just how close that dream is to reality is still anyone’s guess.

“Victoria’s Secret is something that myself and my agency have both been very strong about doing,” says Megan, who was reportedly scouted as a potential angel by VS as recently as last year.

“When I was a little girl I used to turn it on (the VS lingerie show) and walk around the living room with my little wings. It’s definitely a dream....I guess we’ll see.”

The former Adelaide model is now based in New York but spent much of the last few months in Australia, shooting a special Vogue magazine issue with celebrity photographer Mario Testino and hanging out with family, including mum Hellen, pictured with Megan.

“I’ve come back for the summer and it’s been great...it’s hard because I’m a beach girl at heart and it doesn’t matter how many big cities I live in, it’s always nice to come back,” says Megan, who is signed with Pride Models and IMG Worldwide.

“I really miss being home, I got back to Adelaide once on this trip. I went to McLaren Vale with mum, it was great fun, so I’ve had a blast here.”

Megan’s now back in the US where she has a few big projects in the works, and she hasn’t ruled an acting career in the future.

“It’s something I used to do when I was younger and it’s definitely something I have interest in. I definitely wouldn’t take it off the cards at all,” she says.

“Big things are coming up this year....I can’t talk about it but I’ve got some things coming up that I have dreamt of and I’m really excited about.”
